UI/UX Design / Bumdoodler's Lunch Company Rebrand

Company History & Rebrand Direction
Bumdoodler's Lunch Company was founded in 1982 Boerne, Texas. Originally called Gerri's Pies, Bumdoodler's specializes in sandwiches, soups, spuds, and homemade pies. The business has since expanded to Kerrville, Texas.
Bumdoodler's is special to me personally because I am from Boerne, Texas and I grew up going to this restaurant. Their logo, website, and brand as a whole was dated, messy, and does not show the true attitude of the company. Additionally, many local companies in Boerne are updating their look following a retro revival of the whole city. I felt like Bumdoodler's needed to be a part of this revival, so I updated their logo and website, as well as designed collateral material including a business card, letterhead, and sandwich bags.
While the company didn't have a clear existing brand identity, I utilized the colors in their old logo and gave them a fresh, brighter look. I chose and manipulated a display font that was bold with a throwback feel. While the brand features minimal imagery, I designed a wave pattern that is reminscent of the swirls of mayo, mustard, or ketchup that you squeeze onto your sandwich. The logo can be reduced into a wordmark and a small logomark, and works with each of the brand colors.
