UI/UX Design / PVFA Website Redesign & Collateral
Project Overview
I worked with a team of 3 other Texas A&M students in the Visualization program to redesign the website for our school. Our department recently underwent a major restructuring, and with that, faculty members created a website for the new School of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts. As a team, we determined that the site has poor navigation, type elements not specified in the university brand guide, and a lack of imagery and color variation.
This project centers around a restructuring and redesign of Texas A&M's School of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts (PVFA) website and the production of collateral to produce more navigable, useful tools for incoming students, current students, and faculty/industry professionals.
The final project includes a website prototype designed in Figma and Adobe Illustrator. Our collateral materials include social media posts and an informational brochure.

User Research
Our team created and conducted a survey to understand who is using the current PVFA website, what they are using it for, and what elements they feel like are missing from the current site. Our survey gained over 80 responses from students in Visualization, Performance Studies, and Dance Science, as well as faculty members.
Market Research
Following our survey, we explored the websites for other design schools. We noted effective design elements, as well as ease of use for each site.
Creative Research & Concept Development
Our branding for the website uses fonts outlined in the Texas A&M brand guide. We only made minor changes to the brand guide's color palette in order to better distinguish our site and better represent the art and design aspects of our school.
After analyzing the elements of the current site, we laid out a new navigational flow.
